The radio campaign for raising awareness of child rights was launched in Liberia.
After a long war which caused great chaos in the country, things are returning to normal and hope is returning little by little in Liberia with the election of the president Hellen Johnson Sirleaf, the only female leader in power in Africa.
The long years of war caused a lot of damage, and all kinds of rights in particular were continually violated, especially child rights. This is why Plan Liberia, who has just reopened its offices after years of inactivity in the country due to widespread instability, decided to roll out a widespread awareness-raising campaign of child rights.
Dozens of children were chosen and trained by professional actors to play short sketches linked to different child rights. These sketches will be recorded on CD and broadcast on various partner radio stations.
